Did anyone learn to swin at Lough Lannagh? Remember Mikie Gutherie? I remember them trying to teach me at the indoor swimming pool in Castlebar but I was petrified. I went up to Mikie Guthrie and he got me over the fear of swimming. He took no nonsense, he would have you in the freezing water in 5 seconds flat, and as he put it the only way to get warm was to swim! I am not sure if Mikie is with us any more? if he is not God Rest his soul.
