Annie & Mamie were 1st cousins of my father (Jimmy Hopkins), they lived up the road from us in Ballinaglough. They both died in the 70's. Mamie died shortly after their little house went on fire and Annie some years later. They were both beautiful singers and they could be heard singing in the fields as they worked, one of their favourites as I remember was the bells of the Angelus. I am not sure who would have all the stories. Maybe Jimmy Mc Hale from Borradruma.
