Yes, I can remember Devers having a grocery shop at the corner between Main St. and Ellison St. The small shop next to them was called Becketts. Not sure what type of shop it was but I think they sold tobacco/pipes. There was a very old man there (I think his name was Beckett) and a couple whos name was Plunkett. They had two daughters - Sheila is the girl you referred to.
