There used to be extensive ground rents paid in Castlebar to Lord Lucan. His agent in the 1960's/1970's was, I believe, a fellow named Moran. To the best of my knowledge the rents are still being paid. There was a posting some time back regarding the current value of Hugh O'Malley's house which is next door to Rockies. I expect the value of the ground rent is tied by some formula to the value of the structure or the business on the site. It would be interesting to know.
