According to the Connaught Telegraph, Sir Frederick Cavendish was born in 1777 and died in 1856. He founded the Connaught Telegraph in 1828. Apparently, he was related to the Cavendish family who were/are the Dukes of Devonshire - one of the richest families in the U.K.
