The only time that I was ever in the old Convent building was to get the material for the new school uniform. In my first year at the school we had to wear the black dresses with white collars. Then in second year the uniforms were changed for a grey pinafore and blue blouse. We had to buy the material from the Nuns and then get the dressmaker to make them up. I can remember the smell of the polish also. The place was so quiet and dull.
