I don't remember any drowning Murrisk.
Mc Lynskey's was on the Parsons side of the bridge if I recall properly. I think MAP is correct, the shop beyond the bridge was known as Kelly's on the bridge. The one past that was the Garden Shop.Hasn't MAP a great memory for her age!
Joe Mc Lynskey was a relation of the Mc Garry's of Rathbawn. Remember Hugh, Mick,Pat & Billy and a sister (or maybe 2). And the Mc Garry's of course were in turn related to Mick Byrne of Main Sreet and to the O'Malleys of Tucker Street.
