I took a stroll over to the Main Board today and found myself in very hot water indeed.I think I will stick to noncontroversial subjects from now on.I dont know very much about McHale Park's opening 70 years ago but Butch brought up Christy Rings name recently.Did you know that Christy Ring (1920-1979) won eight All-Ireland medals and Jack Lynch(1917-1999)former Taoiseach was the only player to win six consecutive All-Ireland medals,one for football and five for hurling?
Did you know that the Sam Maguire and Liam McCarthy cups were named after prominent London GAA figures of the 1920's?
