Peter Filan started teaching while I was there. He was a pretty nice guy - walked on tip toes a lot. Joe Gilmartin was also a regular guy. The Vulch frequented a pub Murtaghs? near Parsons. He would walk down the street to the pub and side step into it. He never turned. One minute he was there - the next minute he was gone! Bro. Flavian had a run in with Skipper when we were in first year. Tempers flew and Bro. F. pursued Skipper round the class room without catching him. He snarled " Theres a breed of a tinker in you McGough" whereupon Skipper retorted "And theres f****** one in you too brother". Amazingly, I think Bro.F. left him alone after that. I'm afraid I was long gone when CCR broke upon the music scene. I still enjoy them.
