The conspiracy theorists ( eg www.davidicke.com) have a much less benign view of the Knights of Malta. They suggest that they in fact control the Vatican and, through the Order of St Johm, the British monarchy. David Icke claims that the Knights involvement with the hospice movement is just the thin end of the wedge for allowing euthanasia! The web is indeed a weird and wonderful place!
