There was also the choir musterd for the May (and Oct.) devotions. Who were the stalwarts in the choir Tempus - all male in those days of course.
"Tantum ergo sacramentum...
The Prayer for Emigrants was always recited at evening devotions. "Jesus, who in the first days of thy life on earth Was compelled to leave the land of thy Birth, And with Mary Thy Loving Mother and St. Joseph,
Endured Egypt and the hardship and poverty and suffering,
Turn Thine eyes of Mercy on our people, who in search of employment are forced to leave their native land.....
Thats as much as I can recall, but it occurs to me that this prayer could very well apply to the current emigrants coming into our country.
