The 'Hassle at the Castle' as it was unkindly dubbed was later, around 81, 82. It was held at Rehins. Thin Lizzy toplined one year and possibly Madness. The land on which it was held was originally the local Lord's, Browne and was cursed because of ill treatment of tenants during the famine. A local curate cursed the family when he was drowned by the owners, ie he cursed them before he was drowned, not after! The promoters of the gig paid local lads to stay overnight to prove there were no ghosts. The gig was a product of it's own innocent times.
