I would love to see pictures of the Kellogues & Breaffy areas.
I would love to know how to get more historical info. about these areas, as well.

I is sad that I have not been able to find any graves of any of my Stantons or Corleys...perhaps mass graves or unmarked graves were all that
poor teneant farmers had at that time?

My Stantons left Ireland in the mid 1870's after getting through the Famine, etc. The males were a rowdy bunch of saloon keepers in Albany, New York at the turn of the centrury. The women were long suffering martyrs.

My grandfather James J. Stanton was baptized in Oct. 1865 @ the Catholic Chapel [St. Joseph]in Kellogues. His mother Ellen Corley died in that childbirth. His father was Miles Stanton born 1838.

Miles/Myles later married a Catherine Hand.

Miles parents were either Patrick Stanton & Anne Gibbons or Michael Stanton & Kitty Horan.

Catherine Stanton Mullin [Mrs. John] stayed in Ireland and died in Killkenny, Mayo, leaving a large family. She was Miles sister or cousin.

My wife, Patricia McNally and I will be returing to Ireland for longer stays now that I'm retired.

Also, can anyone tell me if Mary O'Brien @ Knockatemple is thriving? She attends the RC Church in Kellogues. I'd also love to know how to contact her daughters but I don't know their married names.

Please refer this to others if you please.

PAX,
