I don't recognize the scene in the picture. Is that Croagh Patrick in the background?? It doesn't look like the Reek. Could it be Nephin and Nephin Beg in the left background?? If so the watercolour would have been painted between Castlebar and Pontoon. I have never heard of the artist but maybe someone else has. There is a thriving arts community in Castlebar and you can find the links on the home page. Someone there may be able to help you track down the artist. A note - Leon is not a typical Irish name so the artist may not have been a 'Castlebarbarian'.
