There's been a fair bit of controversy over this kind of thing. They plastered that fine old castle on the Terryland Road just outside Galway. I think the OPW approved this or at least a similar one because they said that's how it was done at the time when the building was built. It's interesting to see the Stonework on Parsons. That's how it was early 1900s. There is some lovely stonework appearing around the country though. Claremorris has produced some fine buildings - the jewellers on the corner. Same in Castlebar lots of ugly duckling buildings turning into swans!
