Miss Egan taught me Shorthand, Typing, Book-Keeping. She was an excellent teacher. Never raised her voice but was always in complete control of the class. Her method for teaching typing was better than any "Mavis Beacon"! She always looked so well. She would wear twin-sets (jumper and matching cardigan). We were always admiring her lovely jewellery.
