Since the first Yanks entered my life in Castlebar many years ago, I have had an abiding love of the people and the country. With all their faults and failings, they are the greatest people on Earth. I have worked there several times and have been overwhelmed by kindness, friendship and generosity. The loss of life is beyond comprehension but we can only hope that from the depths will come hope and maybe even optimism. The Yanks have those two qualities in abundance. God bless and save us all.
