The beautiful ornate iron gate at the entrance
to the baptiimal font in the north porch was
manufactured by John Fagan & sons.Babies being
baptised had to be carried what were known as
"Fagans Gates" and it said that if you werent
you were nor regarded as a Castlebar person.
