I remember the first computer game I ever played.It was probably when we lived in Germany in the 70's and were on board some ferry from France to Ireland or England.It was the bouncing ball back and forth on a screen like a tennis game,rather like you describe Bill.Dolls of course were favourites for the girls,but we also got very practical presents like a new frock,skirt or jumper.If I got a book/annual it was pure heaven.
