MM - Latin Sung! You should have been here last Sunday when the Mayo Choir sang a Mozart Mass at 12:30 - all in Latin with a magnificent organist playing the organ in the Parish church like it's never been played before. All the old favourites - Kyrie Elison St qui tollis peccata mundi, Sanctus Sanctus, etc. etc. a real treat for Latin Lovers and music lovers. The choir is something special - great attention to dynamics and those wonderful gaps/rests that Mozart throws in every so often just to keep you listening - long may they continue as they certainly upped the ante for church music in Castlebar last weekend.
