I have a query on my mail from a lady,looking for any info, who states that the "Baron" was her GG Uncle.Anybody remember him.I posted a query last year but drew a blank.
I saw him only once,arriving for Mass in a large black Chevvy type car,with
US and Irish flags flying on each wing.The driver waited until a suitable crowd had gathered, before he opened the door, to let the "Baron of Broadway" exit his car.As I remember, he was a small retund gentleman,resplendent in morning suit,top hat,complete with cane and gloves.This was my only sight of him.
He made headlines I think by offering to buy back the six counties,with some of the millions he was reputed to have made in America.
Any info on this very eccentric character.
