The chat about Uly (Ulick ?) Walsh brought to mind Henry Faul, appointed a town inspector in May 1901 ("Through Fagan's Gates" page 90). Henry's daughter died a few years ago. She was in her late 90's. She was also the mother of Henry Downes.
