Yes the smell of the mansion floor polish will remain with me forever, and the parlour(?) on the left as you go in the main door, with the large bowl of fruit as the centrepiece on the mahogany table.
Also, the lovely chapel,where I served mass a few times and where in 1971 we had family mass for my parents 25th.wedding anniversary.
I have been away for the past 2 days so haven't yet seen the landscape minus the convent. What a pity, what a shame.But at least the memories live on.
