johnny mee was on mid west radio this weekend and described what has happened to the convent as instutionalised thuggery and stated that the perpetrators of such wanton destruction of such an historical building should suffer the full rigours of the law the least of which in my opinion should be to restore it to what it was before those so called developers fromgod knows where came in at five o clock on a saturday morning and by stealth carried out such destruction apart from the statue another question now is where are the railings gone to i am sure that if castlebar based developers had purchased this property they would have respect for the heritage of the town AND NO ONE SHOUTED STOP EXCEPT JOHNNY MEE
