A number of recent postings questioned the destruction of the convent and its heritage status. As I understand it, a housing development is planned for McDonald's field on the Westport Road - 80 houses ? McDonalds house was formerly the "seat" of Patrick Boyd Esq. at Mount Gordon, and dates from the 1700's. Does it currently have the status of a heritage building or does it qualify as a heritage building ?
