I think you are right MM. It became more usual in the 1960's to see a 'h' replacing the 'buillte'. It may have been something to do with new printing technology ? But a 'buillte' wasn't always a 'buillte'. It was also known as a 'shay-vu'. Depended on whether you were learning Munster, Ulster or Connaught Irish.
