Yes O'Donnell's shop was in the same premises as Peter Dever's. I think Peter was an uncle of John O'Donnell, the pharmacist in Castlebar and his brother Michael, who has a shoe shop at the Mall, Westport.
The shop you mention at the top of Castle Street and on the corner with Ellison Street, was knocked down some years ago and Eddie Egan's jeweller's shop stands there now, on part of that site plus the adjoining site, which was the tobacconists owned by Frank Beckett, related to the Plunkett's who lived there in the sixties.
Remember the two girls, Sheila & Viv Plunkett?
