I visited a cemetry in Etaples on the French Coast south of Bolougne back in 1992 and came across the grave of a young lad actually from Murrisk, Murrisk. Etaples was the site of a big field hospital and it seem this poor young lad was injured up the front line of The Somme some 50 odd miles inland and survived only this far.
