With regards to the tradition in Castlebar, it is currently being carried out by Stephen Guthrie and Joe Geraghty. Previous to this Stephen carried it out along with Dessie Dunne. Going back into the 1940's Dessie Dunne and Paddy Clarke were the people involved. Prior to this Paddy Clarke's brother David( Daisy) was involved, he played the Ivy Leaf I understand. Hope this little bit of extra information might spark off some memories. Look forward to further comments.
