Anyone spot the deliberate error in the Parish Mag. about page 4 where it says the boys communion photo of 1954. All I can say is that most of those lads were still in nappies in May / June 1954, and I know for a fact that you had to be older to receive your first Holy Communion back tnen.
I can see Dermot Fahy from Ellison Street, Fergie Reynolds from Mountain View,in front, James Mc Hugh from Blackfort, second row at extreme left, and beside him is Johnny Murphy from The Green behind is Hilary Kelly. Also spotted Tom Rothery from St. Pat's Ave., and the late Pat Cotter in the back row. I reckon that photo is actually from 1959 and most of those lads celebrated 50 years on this planet in 2002.
Maybe M would scan it in (after the turkey and pud has settled well) and we younger contributors might have a stab at identifying them all?
