How little things have changed;this comment was in the then "Telegraph" of June 1841.
Fashion,- Fashion is a deformed little monster, with a Chameleon(my spelling)skin,bestriding the shoulders of public opinion. Though weak in itself, like most other despots, it has gradually usurped a degree of power that is irresistible and prevails in various forms over the whole habitable world. It is the greatest tyrant in the world.
