Actually I would expect that many of those mentioned are not even contenders say when compared to the original Linen Hall (Front part of the Linenhalls arts centre) and indeed most of the structures in the central part of the town although admittedly many have been rebuilt in recent decades. I now reckon the river was canalised into its present course during the Bingham era in probabaly the late 1600's or early 1700's. Therefore some of the buildings in the centre of the town may date back to this era too such as parts of the old Lavelles bakery, The Humbert inn (Alleged to be there in August 1798!).

Just some thoughts anyway from me....
