I recall queueing at the stage entrance
to the Town Hall in my winter coat of

ticker to see Santa.It was a cold
draughty corridor of plain concrete
but the expectation as you edged closer
to the entrance at the side of the hall
was emmense.
The when the door was open for your turn
you were hit with a wall of sound and
heat.Children screeching and the hall
covered in discarded wrapping paper.
And MM I am sure that it was Tom Mc Greal
who was Santa and that he either replaced
or was replaced by Mr Lohan.
