Somedays I feel like a toxic sump - lead from paint and belching exhausts and lead water pipes, asbestos from insulation and roofs, DDT inhaled in copious amounts while spraying flowers, mercury from broken thermometers and mercurochrome, smoke inhalation from open turf and coal fires, and on and on....... How come we never caught salmonella from drinking raw eggs with milk or eating raw vegetables from fields manured with cow dung or drinking water from unchlorinated wells ? Can I ever be recycled or will my grave be marked as a contaminated site along with the rest of ye ?
