I can vaguely remember our march back to town turning into a sprint as we passed the high convent wall that stood where St Anthont's School is now, encouraged by a shower scraws and shrubbey that came over the wall on top of us. I think it may have been a tradition to send the victors on their way back to town. I also remember both teams assembling in St Patricks before the match and togging out there. as colin Haugh suggested there must be lots more photographs of this era and these events out there.It would be great if they could be put up on the site.
