I remember the Torch sign, Johnny. It was on a pole that had alternating bands of black and amber colours. I'm nearly certain it was located at the end of Chapel St about two paces from the pump at Neely's corner on the St Gerald's side.Would it have been a traffic sign to warn motorists that there were schools ahead?
