True the house now is a bookmakers, but before that it was the Moira cafe, one of the truly great haunts of ours as teenagers, it had a juke box, and the two old ladies who ran it made excellent chips. I'll bet many of my friends have happy memories of the Moira Getting back to Johnny waters, I can still vividly see him sitting crosslegged on a big flat table , inside the main front window. We used to "borrow" some of Johnny's tailors chalk !!!!!! I wrote an article several years ago about rush street and the surrounding areas, and it was published in the Castlebar parish Magazine, what year ? I'm not too sure .
