Kelly,remember that Stansted is about 90 mins or more from Heathrow.I am not trying to discourage you from using Knock.I have friends in London with whom I usually stay so I am not rushed when I visit,usually spend a few days with them if I travel to Ireland via London.Not this year though,too many cancellations of British Airways into Washington,DC.
