Seeing the postings on the Panto and TV in Castlebar brought back memories of the Pageant performed in McHale Park around 1961.It was absolutely brilliant.Story of Ireland through the ages,the haunting music of Mise Eire?,the Dream of Olwyn?I was a pupil of my father who was a hedge school master.I also was one of the many boarding the coffin ships during the famine.I am sure many others have memories of this.
