The death has occurred of Canon Paddy Curran, Parish Priest of Castlebar.

Fr Paddy served for 26 years in Castlebar Parish and was a highly popular priest. His remains repose at the Parochial House, Friday 4 July, from 11 am to 8 pm and burial will take place in the grounds of the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar after 2 pm Mass on Saturday 5 July 2008.
