I am trying to get as far back as possible and want to make a nice family tree book for my relatives. My second uncle has been working on this for years and even traveled to Mayo County. Unfortunately he passed away before completing his research.

Thomas Staunton married mary Cropper in Bishopsgate, London 1826. Returned to Castlebar with family of 5 sons, william, daniel, stephen, james and thomas. 2 more sons born in castlebar around 1840, David and Frederick. Thomas, the son, married Maria McNally
in Castlebar and they had 3 children, John, Francis and Mary Bridget born between 1852-1854. The family then emigrated to Liverpool.

I am the grandson of 1 of about 8 families of Mchales in Laragan near Ross Castlebar. Due to there being so many families they were all given nick names and my grandfather nick name was Fox Mchale real name Michael. He was married twice and he had 2 childrem to his first wife who died due to complications at child birth and then he married my grandmother whoes surname was Hart. Then they had 2 kids whoes names were Mick and Nora who was my mother. I heard through the family that 1 of the brothers who went to America that he had twin daughters or grand daughters. Not sure if this is true or not. My grand father had a sister named Rose and a brother named Martin and i think the other brothers name was Thomas.
