His siblings are Mary, Ellen, Martin, Patrick, Michael, Bridget and Margaret. They are all in school, apart from Mary and Ellen who are listed as farmer's daughters and presumably work on the farm.

I'm looking for any information about the family of my great x3 grandmother, Julia (PARTLIN) WALSH, who was born approx 1850. I was told that she is from Ballinrobe. (Note: There is some uncertainty about the spelling of her last name. I know that SHE spelled it PARTLIN, but the name Partlin is virtually non-existent in the area. I found one Partlin family on the 1901 census, but I also found the exact same family with at least two other spellings on other documents. The other spellings I found were PARLAN, & PARLAND. I don't know if this family is any relation to my Julia.)
Julia married John Walsh (b abt 1847), the son of Michael Walsh and his first wife, Nancy Ann MORAN. (His second wife was named Nora Gannon.)
John and Julia (Partlin) Walsh emigrated to the United States in 1872, and settled in the Rensselaer area of New York. (Greenwich.) They had three children, daughters Mary Theresa Walsh, b 1877, who married Michael DUANE, Catherine Walsh, b 1879, who became a nun, (known as Sister Mary Leona) and a son James Walsh, b 1880.
I would appreciate any information about either the PARTLIN or WALSH family.
Thanks!

Thomas Loughney, born in 1842, emigrated to Scranton Pennsylvania in about 1865. His parents were Bartholomew Loughney and Jane Duffy, both born around 1805. Griffiths lists Bartholomew living in Rooghan, Rathreagh, Killala, Mayo. Bartholomew died in 1868 and Jane died in 1896. They had another son, Patrick, who lived in Kilfian on the 1901 and 1911 Irish Census. Looking to talk Loughneys or other people with connections to this family.

thanks!
John

I am researching two families that may have emigrated to The English West Midlands to escape The Great Famine, Anthony O'Donnell born circa 1806 and his wife Bridget ? born circa 1811. Had six children circa 1831>1845 Mary, Bridget, Patrick, Edward, Anne and Catherine. Mary may have married a Michael O'Boyle, Bridget a Michael Histon, and Anne a James Cafferty. they settled in the Town of Stourbridge, which was Worcestershire then and The West Midlands now, and gained employ in the local brick and glass works. Would love to be able to trace a bit of the Castlebar connection for a 5th generation descendant of this line who is quite poorly at the moment so if any one can help I would appreciate it! She dearly wants to no more of her Irish Roots.

My Great Grandfather is shown born Ireland 1843 on various English Documents and my Grandfather, also John Michael was born in Warrington England in 1880. My G.Grandfather worked in an Ironworks at Warrington and I cannot find any trace of him from about 1888. My G.Grandmother was Sarah Hannah, nee Gallaher...born 1887 Bolton England. I would love to hear from anybody with information about John Michael Rowland b 1843 in Ireland (maybe variant spelling)as I have only recently found about my Irish Heritage.
