Hi,

Am looking for information concerning a Jane Cooney born in Aglish (New Antrim Rd) around 1861. Her baptism certificate states her parents as Edward Cooney and Maria Moron. In the 1911 Ireland Census there are still Cooneys in the New Antrim Rd: Norah Cooney and her family.

Any information concerning them would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
c

I am trying to find any information about (Anthony McTigue) my great grandfather or his family. I know that he had a son (my grandfather)called Edward who was born in County Mayo, Ireland c1877. Edward came over to the UK c1915. His marriage certificate (1917) states that he was a Private in the Highland Light Infantry and that his father was Anthony McTigue (deceased) and he was a farmer.

Below is a copy of a post I placed here in September 2008. Since then my e-mail address has changed. I am still actively seeking any information on the McGreal / Gannon families of Castlbar.
My birth name was Michael Hubert McGreal. I believe my birth-mother's name to be Margaret Mary McGreal born Sept. 17, 1924 to Patrick McGreal and Bridie (nee Gannon)McGreal of New Antrim St. Castlebar. I was adopted in 1952 and was raised in the US. I was born Oct. 15, 1949. I am seeking any information regarding the McGreal/Gannon families of Castlebar. Thank you in advance for any contibutions to this inquiry. Sincerely, Michael T. Murphy
