From my father's notes from 20 years ago. Mother or grandmother b 1850-60's was an O Neill relative of ours from Bantry, Cork.
Michael was a teacher and lived in Castlebar. Placed called 'crimmen'? according to old family notes (but can't find). Usually a Cork clan name of McCarthy. Daughter worked in local hospital.

I am trying to find more information on my grandfather - James Barrett - who was born on 3 October 1900, around Breaffy. James moved to Liverpool, where he married my grandmother, Mary.

I am hoping to find his parents' names. I am wondering whether this might be Michael and Anne Barrett (based on a census record from 1901). And if so, whether his mother's maiden name was Kearn(e)s. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
