Snugboro Win 2-0 Against Ballina Town

Snugboro claimed all three points in a keenly contested match against Ballina Town B played at Milebush on Saturday evening last.

The 'Boro got off to a great start when Anthony Healy controlled a throw-in and unleashed an unstoppable shot to the corner of the net in the second minute.

The game ebbed and flowed for the remainder of the first half with both goalkeepers pulling off some good saves to leave the half time score at 1-0.

In the second half Snugboro upped the tempo and created the bulk of the goal scoring chances Steve McDonnell shot narrowly over after a good run, John Roughneen saw a shot saved while David Hickey was denied twice in as many minutes by outstanding goalkeeping in the Ballina goal .
Snugboro wrapped up the points when Danny Lawless curled a delightful free kick around the defensive wall and into the net on 85 mins.
