From Castlebar - County Mayo - Soccer Results from the fisrt two games played in the International Cup:
1st Annual Mayo International Cup U-13 Schoolboys Tournament
The inaugural Boy's Under 13 Mayo International Cup Tournament in association with Henaghans Health Food Centre Castlebar takes place on the weekend of the 24th to the 26th of August 2012. The teams including an under 13 Mayo team consisting of players from most football clubs throughout the county will be taking part. They will be testing their skills and talent against international youth academy teams including Watford FC. & West Ham United.
It promises to be a golden opportunity for the general public, parents, players and coaches alike to attend and see for themselves the standard and talent in Mayo and compare them with the best of international talent. The tournament will take place in a number of venues throughout the county including Celtic Park, Milebush Park, Ballina Town FC., Manulla FC and Ballyglass FC. so making it easy for everyone to attend and support. Admission is FREE to all the games and this thankfully to the generous sponsorship received from local businesses, including Henaghans health foods Castlebar, Breaffy House Hotel, The Mayo Football League, Mayo Youths Schoolboys/girls League, Mayo County Council and Castlebar Town Council. The Tournament organising Committee, headed by Chairperson Gerry Gallagher paid tribute to all clubs, parents, players, groups, sponsors, partners and voluntary workers that are playing a part in making the Tournament possible.
