Mayo Players Ready for FAI League

Mayo players ready for the FAI Airtricity League for the 2014 season.

Many players from Mayo have risen through the ranks and now making their mark in the FAI Airtricity League for the 2014 season. Following on in the footsteps of Ciaran Kelly and Alan Murphy (both Ballinrobe natives) who are still at Sligo Rovers and Galway FC respectively.

The following players are currently signed and ready for the new season.

Galway FC
Ryan Connolly (formerly Ballyglass), Marty Owens (formerly Charlestown Athletic), James O'Donnell (formerly Mulranny Utd and Westport Utd), Ross Kenny (formerly Ballina Town), Alan Murphy (formerly Ballinrobe)

Sligo Rovers
David Cawley (formerly Ballina Town), Ciaran Kelly (formerly Ballinrobe and Castlebar Celtic), Gary Boylan (formerly Iorrais Aointhe), Ruari Keating (formerly Westport Utd)

Shamrock Rovers
Conor O'Malley (formerly Westport Utd)

Shelbourne FC
Mick Duffy (formerly Ballina Town)

Drogheda Utd
Micheal Schlingermann (formerly Kiltimagh/Knock Utd)

Dundalk
John Mountney (formerly Kiltimagh/Knock Utd and Ballina Town)

There are various players also playing at clubs in the FAI U19 league and will also be hoping to make the step up to the first team.

At Sligo Rovers U19 are Adam Chambers (formerly Castlebar Celtic), Liam Flatley (formerly Manulla and Castlebar Celtic), Colm Nevin (formerly Castlebar Celtic), Jordan Loftus (formerly Castlebar Celtic), Cian Brennan (formerly Claremorris and Castlebar Celtic) , Adam Murphy (Claremorris) and Padraig Keane at Salthill Devon (formerly Westport Utd)

Along with Noe Baba at Fulham FC, Jesse Devers at Wolves and Ronan Murray Currently at Notts County, this is an exciting time for the players, the players guardians, coaches and the many followers of the game in the region.
