An Orlagh Nolan brace helped UCD waves to all three points over Cork City Women's and continue their 100 per cent start.

Nolan opened after the half hour mark, strikes from Caroline Thorpe and a Aine O'Gorman penalty saw Waves take a three nil half time lead.

Nolan the completed the scoring just after the hour mark, securing the three points as Waves become early season Continental Tyres Women's National League leaders.

The new-look Peamount United got their season off to a wining start as Rosie Maguire and WNL debutant Eleanor Ryan Doyle a first half lead.

Marie Curtin pulled one back from the penalty spot for Galway just after half time, though the hosts couldn't muster an equaliser, Peas making a winning start.

Ashling Frawley got Wexford Youths off to the perfect start on Saturday evening, opening the scoring just one minute into the victory of Castlebar Celtic.

Orla Devaney had Celtic back on level terms within seconds, before Kylie Murphy netted the winner before half time, Wexford have landed six points from six so far.

The squad had its first training session on Saturday last and will prepare for the two upcoming friendly games against England in Whitehall on the 11th and 13th of September 2014 the first will have a 19-30 kick-off while the second will have a 15-00 kick-off. Gerry Smith has just come off the back of two friendly games against Northern Ireland drawing 0-0 at home and winning 2-0 away.

Gerry will trim the 30 man squad to 18 on Saturday the 27th of September prior to their departure to the qualifying stage of the UEFA Regions Cup in Hungary with the match days confirmed as follows Monday the 20th October v Hungary, Wednesday 22nd October v Lithuania, Friday 24th October v Israel.

Caps for the Northern Ireland & England games will be presented by Teresa Mc Cabe, Chairperson of the FAI Junior Council on Saturday the 27th of September.
