SFAI SUBWAY U13 INTERLEAGUE MAYO V LONGFORD 16/12/2017 SOLAR 21 PARK CASTLEBAR

Mayo U13s got their Subway Interleague campaign off to a flying start with a hard fought victory over a determined Longford team at Solar 21 Park. Second half goals from Kevin Kitterick and a stunning strike by Daniel Kelly from a well worked corner was enough to claim the three points and sets the boys up nicely for the rest of the group stages of the elite level competition.

The first half was a largely nervous affair with both teams looking to gain an advantage but Mayo were much better in the second half putting together several passages of niet passing in an effort to break down the Longford defence.

Mayo now look forward to the visit of Roscommon in the new year.
