Ireland U21 European Championship Qualifier in Sligo

Dear Club,

The Republic of Ireland U21's play in a very important European Championship qualifier at the Showgrounds, Sligo on Thursday, 1st September at 7.30pm versus Hungary and we would like to offer your Club a special opportunity to come along to see Ireland's next generation of top players and shout on the boys in green!

In August, we beat Austria in the Showgrounds in a friendly with Robert Brady of Manchester United scoring late to clinch it for Ireland. Now, Noel King's men face a strong Hungarian side in a crucial qualifier in a group that we all hope see's us qualify for the European Championships in Israel.

We have set aside a limited number of tickets for Clubs from your League in the jinx stand which will be given to you free of charge strictly on a first -come-first-served basis; once these tickets are gone, remaining tickets are just €2 for children and €5 for adults.

We expect a full house on the night so don't delay, just send a mail to keith@sligorovers.com with the amount of adults and children attending from your Club before 6pm on Friday, 26th August. We can then put the amount of tickets you require into an envelope for collection at the ticket office at the main gate of the Showgrounds, to be collected before 7pm on match-day. All Clubs arriving on mini-bus are reminded they can simply park their mini-bus on Adelaide Rd beside stadium until end of match.

The match offers us the opportunity to show how big the game has grown in Sligo/Leitrim so we would really appreciate if your Club wore their Club colours and brought any flags or banners they wish to display at the match.

The FAI are delighted to announce that we will be running a competition where a club can win a special prize for the club that performs the best overall on three criteria 1) most colour 2) loudest and 3) most attendees in the group.
