Mayo Operation Transformation 5K Fun Runs / Walks

Following the very successful Operation Transformation Walks in January and the numerous 5 week long Operation Get Active Mayo programmes throughout the county, 5K Fun Runs / Walks in 5 locations throughout the county are to take place on Saturday 22nd February. These events may be particularly appealing for those who have been busy participating in the various Operation Transformation, Meet and Walk, Fit4Life and Men on the Move programmes around the county.

Both the Castlebar and Claremorris 5Ks commences at 11am from the Castlebar Tennis Club and Clare Lake Claremorris respectively, registration is from 10.30am onwards. To register contact Mayo Sports Partnership at 094-9047025 or email msp@mayococo.ie

The Belmullet event commences at 11am from the Civic Centre with sign on from 10.30 onwards. For information please call Michelle 087 7646710.

Westport Leisure Park are also running a 5K on the 22nd to coincide with their Operation Transformation Programme. For more details on that event contact the Leisure Park at 098 29160.

Ballina Athletic Club are also co-ordinating an event for the 22nd, again with start time at 11am and meeting point at the Ballina Athletic Track. Participants can contact Liz Murphy at 0872419309.

All events are free, open to people of all ages and abilities however no dogs are allowed.
