About the Course
Bike for Life Leader Award is aimed at Coaches or Leaders who want to develop their existing knowledge and skills. This is just a one day course, but once a leader has received this qualification, provided they are already a Cycling Ireland qualified coach, they can run a Bike for Life Course. Bike for Life is a beginners cycling programme - focusing on three different levels of ability. It is generally run over 8-10 weeks, with one session a week, during which time they are brought through all the relevant aspects of the sport of cycling, from cycling skills and training plans, to nutrition, clothing advice and goal setting, in addition to going for a group cycle The award will also give coaches the knowledge and information that they need to progress riders from their first Bike for Life Session to their first Sportive or Competition. This award is the minimum requirement for the delivery of the Bike for Life Programme.
Eligibility
Candidates must be over 18 years of age
Have complete and be fully qualified in, the following coaching qualifications, CI Foundation Award or higher or CI TCL Award or higher.
Completed Garda Vetting or Access NI check documentation
Course Cost
